A City on a Ship

Now is one of those times I wish I had tons of money at my disposal. Earlier I discovered the Freedom Ship, a large ship designed to be a functioning city on the ocean. I’ve been on three cruises in the past, two that were seven-day stays, and I loved every minute of it. It really felt like I was in a hotel resort, just on water, and practically everything inside was free.
The Freedom Ship is similar to the cruise in that it’s on water, but that’s where the similarities end. It’s four times the size of the Queen Mary, it can house up to 60,000 people, and instead of cabins there are comfortable homes set up. The ship has a hospital, a small airplane hanger, a mall, and an actual school, just like a city. There’s also restaurants, casinos, nightclubs and theaters, as well as other recreation areas. The ship takes you all over the world, and hello, I wouldn’t mind seeing the world from the comfort of my own home, would you?
Hell, even working there sounds like a blast:
All of the ship’s employees will be given food, housing, uniforms, medical and dental care and a continuing education program.
Everything provided, not a care in the world. If you find your stay isn’t enjoyable, you could just leave the ship and go back to your old life (I doubt I’d want to). I would love nothing more than to be able to go up to the top deck with a book, relax, and enjoy the view as the ship sails past a gorgeous European city. Sigh, to be young and rich.
A whole lotta nothin’

How regal does Leopold look in these pictures? I couldn’t resist posting these because the lighting was just so right, and actually worked in my favor for once. It looks like he’s on a velvet stool or something like that but it’s actually my shoulder. If only I had a Canon Rebel jebus knows I could take some really amazing shots but until I can afford it, I’ll just have to keep fighting with the Olympus I have now. Le sigh.
This entire morning was spent at the Craftster forums. I’m not proud of it or anything (because I really could be doing more productive things) but I just can’t stop clicking on threads and seeing random creative projects made by artsy people. I had my doubts, specifically because I read Becky’s crafster crap posts, but amidst the many lulz there are some really good projects in this forum, as well as tutorials to get your craft on. I’m glad I found yet another website to waste my time on (total lie).
