Things I like to do for free

So while I’m here, looking for a job, I’ve been trying really hard not to spend any money. So this morning, while getting ready, and waiting for my car (which still hasn’t gotten here from Florida ffs) I thought about things I like to do that don’t cost me any money.
- Going on a picnic - I just grab whatever is in the pantry/refrigerator, find a nice patch of grass, and plop down to eat and nap. This was almost impossible in Florida, but we managed to find some shaded areas and it was nice. Especially when my sister cooked a real nice meal.
- Go to the library - I’m a total nerd. I can spend hours inside a library or a bookstore. I prefer a library because I can check out books for free and continue my little nerd session.
- Go to a park - There’s this park up here that Brent took me to, Cascade. It has a little hiking trail, and it’s so much fun to just go there and look at the ducks in the pond, or “hike”, or just swing on the little swing sets.
- Play a nerdy board game - So my favorite board games are Sudoku, Scrabble, and Boggle and there’s nothing like having a little get together, kicking ass, and eating junk food. If you like the game Sudoku, and you have the little Sudoku books, you have to check out the board game, it’s sweet.
- Journaling - I have this little journal/collage notebook that I take out on rainy days. I doodle, paste random scraps, add pictures, color, whatever—and it’s such a good way to relax and unwind.
- LAN party - Just me, the good ol’ computer, a cup of hot chocolate, a pack of sunflower seeds, my soulmate downstairs, and the joy of the internets. I browse my feeds, read livejournals, browse message boards, look at Flickr, Stumble, read other blogs, etc.
That’s just what I do. Feel free to post some of yours. Oh, and while you’re at it, pray that I get a job? Thanks.
