Spending Habits

I’ve read plenty of blog entries in the past where bloggers post pictures and talk about their latest spenditures. Usually these bloggers are female, and usually what they buy is clothes and accessories. This isn’t bad at all, but it made me think of my spending habits and what I spend my money on. Clothes and accessories just happen to be last on the list for me.

I made a mental list of the things I usually buy (or would buy) when I have money and it looked something like this:

  1. Food
  2. iMac desktop computer
  3. Books/Magazines
  4. DVDs/Box sets
  5. Digital/Video camera
  6. MP3 players
  7. Television with built-in DVD player
  8. Art supplies
  9. Clothes and accessories

Mostly technical gadgets and geeky stuff. I hope I’m not alone.
What do you usually spend your money on?

What I buy most is food and movies. But I also spent more money in techy stuff than clothes.

How I would love to buy a Mac computer but they’re so expensive here :(

I spend way too much money on bags, DVDs and pyjamas. I’m practically addicted. :P

The amount of money I spend on food is ridiculous. Even my Mr. Noodles which only cost 39 cents add up.

Other than that, clothes. I buy WAY too many items of clothing.

Heh, I’m probably one of those who appears to shop a lot for clothes and accessories...but in the long run, although I buy a LOT, I spend very little when compared to my other expenditures.

Rent and board is on the top of my list. Then uni fees, travel (holidays), travel (petrol), clothes/accessories, media (DVDs).

Very cute layout!

Oh yeahh, I do spend most money on tech/gadget stuff. I was never into barbies when I was younger, I always loved electronic things for some reason. Like the Tamagotchi, that was my favorite!

Although I don’t actually spend that much, the occasional spree that absolutely rapes my bank account isn’t all that bad. Food’s at the top of my list too. Then public transport, and more food...heh. Dance class fees are way up there, too. $1200 for lessons this year. Bah.

Candy, fast food, coco-cola, video games, and movies.

Occasionally I will buy design magazines.

Mine goes on DVD’s first always.  I have a hardcore addiction to buying them.  I think this is my main reason for being in debt. I do make sure I pay my bills and such first.  I hardly ever buy clothes or accesories. I just get my mates hand me downs instead. Ha ha.  Except underwear/corsets I have a weakness there and love buying that sort of stuff.

Lol food is definitely top of my list also, probably followed by clothes and shoes. then art/scrapbooking stuff.

My top two (and really only) expenses are as follows: 1. Gadgetry, 2. Clothes. I also buy lots of candy, and the occasional magazine. I figure that once I get my iBook, my gadget expenses will be through the roof - there are so many Mac apps that I *have to* buy. :P

Food is basically my only expenditure. I haven’t bought clothes in ages, and I’m too broke to afford anything technological—but if I could, it would definitely be #2 on my list [I’m definitely looking at the iPod].

I also buy a lot of art supplies when given the chance, so yeah. Food and crafts FTW =P

I spend my money on Starbucks, Smoothie King, and DVDs.. That’s about it. I use my mom for everything else since I’m broke. :-P

Hrmm… a LOT of my money goes towards food, and dollar stuff that adds up. Then they become useless stuff that just sits around my house or desk.

Most of my money goes to our mortgage/loan. The rest goes to a bus card and the rest SHOES, SHOES, SHOES and CLOTHES. Sometimes I buy expensive perfumes, but not that often.
