New Layout

New layout over here. I was aiming for a spring-y look. I’m not sure if I succeeded but I like this layout anyway. For those of you who haven’t checked out Neonglow MB, you really should. /plugwhore

This week I’ll be really busy trying to prepare for the Big Move. I already got my books packed, but I think I’ll have to empty some of my textbooks out because that box is way too heavy where it’s at right now. Yeah, I said textbooks. I like them, okay. You would too if you… were as nerdy as me? Idk. I have clothes and personal stuff left to pack. I have to get my car title put in my name… and I think that’s it. I did everything else I had to do. I’m really fucking excited to get myself out of here and into my own little independent away-from-bullshit abode, so I might just be deliriously expressing my joy in the next few entries.

Anyone have any good ideas on the best way to store clothes? Usually when I pack my clothes I do them “army” style (where I roll them all up tightly), but I really don’t want to bring wrinkled clothes. I’m going to pack them in a suitcase because I’m lacking in the box/container area so any ideas on how to pack as many clothes as possible without making them look like I was being dragged through a stringer would be awesome.

I am SO EXCITED and I love you and this new theme is fucking sex and omg no more gaping assholes and fuck yes for the first comment hi ily bai.

HEY MAMI I am going to die when you leave and I would just roll my clothes up...Brent has to have an iron.

I like the colours! Structurally it seems sound too, no browser quirks popping up anywhere, w00t.

Was the birdy in the top by the title inspired by Leopold?

Lookin’ good, I love the blue and overall style :)

Sorry, no ideas on how to pack clothes. You could just leave them on hangers and cover them with a garbage bag, leaving the top of the hangers sticking out… I saw someone do that once :P

This is really cute (especially the bird)! :D

Er, I don’t remember how my family stored our clothes the last time we moved, but we probably either folded them up in suitcases or stuck them in a huge garbage bag. I have no idea. But good luck with the move!

The new layout looks great! Lovely colors! :)

I like your new layout! The blue shades are calming. (:

Sorry, but I haven’t got tips regarding packing clothes. I’m also used to rolling them up so that I can make the most out of the space.

Jem: It was! I didn’t want to do the usual flower or butterfly, so I opted for the bird.

If I were ever to play a word association game, and someone said “Sarai,” I would say “Leopold,” or “bird,” or something. So, definitely a good choice with cute little birdy at the top! :) Good luck with moving! I don’t know how to pack clothes, other than the “ROLL TIGHT, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!” way, which I picked up while trying to fit my life into 2 suitcases, while travelling. I would think, roll stuff that doesn’t really need ironing, and keep your other items on the hangers, in a garment bag (or, the po’man’s garment bag: a large trash bag, lol- my personal favourite) and then, lie them flat, when moving.

I really like this layout :)

As for packing clothes, um I remember seeing some sort of bag like things, you put your clothes in them, and then you use this thing to suck out all the air from them, and you could fit a lot of clothes in them. I saw it on TV though and don’t remember what they’re called so that might not help… =/

I love the new layout :)! Yeah, it really is Spring like. The last time my family and I moved, we just used suitcases :).

I’m lovin’ the bird :P
I’m not the best at storing clothes, every time I’ve moved, I’ve always just stuffed my clothes into a garbage bag… needless to say, they all had to be ironed before I could wear them.
I love textbooks, sometimes I’ll bring a really random one to school.  This usually results in me getting weird glances from all my friends…

Well; I moved twice, first time, I put all my clothes in different huge suitcases and folded them as if I were putting them into drawers. It helped. They survived a 24 hrs flight without any problems.
The second time, I put them in those big black garbage bags...they didn’t survive, but it was sporty clothes and jeans, and they bear anything. I’d use suitcases or strong bags looking like suitcases. Something like this:

Good luck!

PS: the layout is sexy!

Buy clothes that don’t get wrinkled! ;D Sorry I can’t advise you well on the matter, since most of my clothes stay wrinkle-free. The clothes through a garbage bag is probably your best bet, if you hang them in your car or lay them flat. Wait, never mind. You have a Corolla, it won’t be big enough for that :( Alternatively, you could lay them flat in a large suitcase and stack them up. I’m not sure how space efficient that is, though.

Oh, and what font did you use for your header? The layout’s looking pretty sweet! Like Aisling, I automatically associate you with Leopold. XD

The new layout looks great. The colors are so soft and calm. I really like that.

I love the new layout SO much, it’s awesome. Honestly, I can’t pack for shit. I get my mother to help me, as pathetic as that sounds. I mean, Brent probably has an iron so you’ll probably be okay if you roll them up tight. Space is key when moving! You want to get as much as you can in the smallest space possible.

The new layout looks great :) Good luck with the move!

StripesArialwoohoo. Sexy layout. :)

Good luck with moving! I tend to fold all my shit up nice and neatly (then I proceed to ruffle it all up and repeat the process another ten times until I’m satsified with how they’re folded...), then layer them carefully into my suitcases/whatever, sit my ass down on the thing and compact it a bit. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Although now I’m wanting to try out just rolling things up tight…
